How far can you hit your driver? 225, 260, 300?

Well, 2018 professional long drive champion Maurice Allen, he is known for bombing his drives. If you have ever watched a long drive competition, he’s the guy who gets the crowed pumped with his Ric Flair impersonation. You can’t help but like the guy.

During the pre-competition interview, golfer Maurice Allen does an amazing Ric Flair impersonation before smashing a 483-yard drive.

When you have that kind of power it’s possible to hit an average par four in one. Maurice Allen took on a challenge that not many can do. He took on Niagara Falls with the intention of hitting a ball from one side to the other. Allen setup on the Canada side of the falls.

A platform set on the edge, driver in hand, he was ready to go. A Team on the US side of the falls watched every attempt. Shot after shot he would either see the ball go offline or hear a radio communication that his ball didn’t make it. With the wind swirling around the falls, mixed with the water in the air impacting every shot, could it even be possible for him to make it?

Maurice Allen vs. Niagara Falls | Is It Driveable?

The prep work is over and the time has come for Maurice Allen to do something many thought to be impossible. Will the World Long Drive champ successfully drive the gorge of Niagara Falls, or come up short like John Daly did in his attempt in 2005?

When Allen cleared the falls, he was surprised it made it. He thought he had missed again. Allen has become the first person to shoot the gap between the US and Canada with a golf ball.
