The last couple of months have proved that no golfer is safe from the LIV speculation.

While many reports involving players like Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, and Brooks Koepka have proven to be correct, two names that consistently come up that haven’t made the move are Collin Morikawa and Jordan Spieth.

The latter was again part of the speculation machine on Thursday, as Golf Monthly reported that a number of pros could make the move after next week’s Open Championship and again before the summer’s out once the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup wraps up.

Before the news really began to circulate in earnest, Spieth’s agent shot down those rumors by speaking with Colt Knost of SiriusXM.

While the latest Spieth speculation has been shot down, Golf Monthly also named Henrik Stenson, Tommy Fleetwood, Cameron Smith, and 2021 Masters champ Hideki Matsuyama all as potential golfers to make the jump. Stenson is also the current Ryder Cup captain for the European team, so that would be an interesting move in and of itself.

LIV Golf’s next event is from July 28-30 in Bedminster, New Jersey.
