Viktor Hovland Withdraws From US Open with Eye Injury

As Viktor Hovland warmed up today, he was less than surprised to take some sand to the face while working on his bunker shots.

What he didn’t expect, however, was that taking some sand to the eyes would cause him enough vision loss to withdraw from the tournament.

In an Instagram post, Hovland jovially shared the experience, as well as a great eye-patch selfie.

A freak accident for sure, but something that Hovland should have no problem coming back from.
