Apparently The NFL Still Owns Sundays, Just Ask Torrey Pines
Ryder cup is over, all the majors have been played and the NFL season is well underway. As fall golf starts to bring out our quarter zips and golf pants, the TOUR is also adjusting.
In a very wise decision the Farmers Insurance Open has been moved to January 26th through the 29th.

Why is this important? Because nobody goes against the NFL. Not even golf dares to compete against NFL football on a Sunday, especially during the playoffs.
Baseball is America’s past time but Football is America’s passion. When it comes to playoff football, don’t even try to compete with viewers.

Torrey Pines has made the move to end its tournament on Saturday instead and this is very smart. Now, we can watch mid week golf during the coldest part of the year when we can’t play anyway.
We get to enjoy playoff football on Sunday without sacrificing anything! I’m looking forward to this change and I expect the same decisions to be made in the fall of 2022 if this works out.
