6 Foot 9 Inch Golfer, James Hart du Preez, Carries 9 Iron 183 Yards

James Hart du Preez is a 26 year old South African golfer who is 6’9″ tall.

Hart du Preez made his debut on the PGA Tour at the American Express back in January and dreams to play on the PGA Tour for many years to come.

On the Sunshine Tour in 2021 du Preez averaged 373 yards off the tee for driving distance.

To put that into perspective, that’s 50 yards further than PGA Tour player Cameron Champ who is the current PGA Tour leader in driving distance.

5-iron: 240 yards

8-iron: 191 yards

50-degree wedge: 160 yards
58-degree wedge: 144 yards

What sticks out to me immediately is a 183 yard 9-iron. That is just INSANE!

Needless to say, du Preez will be drawing a lot of attention the next time he gets a sponsors exemption and tees it up again on the PGA Tour.
