Golfer Posts a Score of 134 (+64) in Qualifying Event

In recent weeks we have had some interesting developments in high scores being turned in.

For example, there was a man playing a local U.S. Open qualifier that shot 112 because of a fantasy football league loss. He had to declare himself a professional golfer just to meet the requirements of the event.

However, this time there are no signs or news of a lost bet, only a series of unfortunate events.

We have a new record at a Qualifier (not a Monday Q)

Zane Pysher posted a 134 with a back nine score of 72 with an 18 on hole 17 as discovered by Monday Q Info on Twitter. Seems that there was a bit of a tin cup-esque moment that went awry. 

It just wasn’t his day, Pysher almost got hit by one of his own shots and had to avoid getting struck by the shot. All in all it would be tough to put ourselves in his position, knowing the embarrassment that he felt during this round.

Zach Barbin won medalist honors with a 73 nearly beating Pysher with just a back 9 score posted of 72.

Barbin is a former champion in 2020 looking for his second victory at this tournament which he will have the opportunity to do so starting June 13th.
