He’s in it for the long haul- I guess.

DJ has resigned from the PGA Tour, officially committing to the LIV series for the foreseeable future. He said he still plans on playing the majors, and mentioned his exemption status in an interview this morning.

DJ was asked about his Ryder Cup eligibility, knowing that he is currently unable to play in the fixture. He said he hopes that the situation will change, but is willing to give up that opportunity to play in the LIV series.

His commitment will likely make it easier for other golfers to follow suit, and he was unable to comment on the immediate repercussions of his decision. It looks like players are to follow as more names seem to be popping up on the LIV commitment list.

We’re all curious not only on how the PGA TOUR will react, but if in fact the LIV Tour will be able to succeed! Cheers to that … the popcorn is ready.
