Jon Rahm Had His Golf Ball Stolen on #18 in the U.S. Open
Rahm did not have his best stuff in the first round of the U.S. Open. The defending champ had a bit of a case of the “left’s” that could have very well destroyed his round.
Fortunately, for Rahm the marshal waved a safe signal on 17 that his ball was in play before playing a provisional. However, #18 his closing hole was a whole other story with only one similarity.
Once again Rahm was left off the tee where his tee shot finished up right under the TV tower. To his good fortune again he would be getting a free drop. But in a wild moment two kids that dashed across the fairway and scooped up Jon Rahm’s golf ball.
A father himself, Rahm playfully said post round, “I’m pretty sure I know who it was,” he said, chuckling. “I am 100% sure I saw the two kids that stole it.”

This bizarre, yet funny scenario may have played in Rahm’s favor to lighten his mood up after another undesired tee shot lost to the left.
Rahm hit a great shot in after he took a drop which led to an eventual birdie! The defending U.S. Open Champion, Jon Rahm finished the day in 14th just three shots off the lead.
