PGA Tour Player Grayson Murray Withdraws from Bermuda Championship After Serious Crash
Grayson Murray is more than thankful to be alive after a life-threatening crash that he was involved in. The PGA Tour winner had this to say on his Instagram story following the crash:
“Thank you for the well wishes from my accident yesterday. Got really lucky and the man upstairs was looking out for me once again. It’s gonna take more than a car to kill this kid.”

Murray, who was going to play in this week’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship, was forced to withdraw due to the severity of his injuries. He shared this picture and statement on his IG story just minutes ago.

“Headed back home. Thank you to the PGA tour staff for all the help the last couple days and all the well wishes I got from players/caddies and y’all. Much love.”
This accident occurred on Tuesday that resulted in Murray being knocked unconscious and additionally receiving 50 stitches in total, while half were stitched on his face, according to Golfweek. He also may have suffered ligament damage in his knee, which he’ll likely find out by Friday when he arrives back home.
The investigation is ongoing as his caddie, Douglas Schwimer, was in the crash and suffered some road rash but is well enough to fill in for Johnson Wagner’s caddie this week while his player will go home to seek more medical attention.
A scary situation for all involved.
