Phil Mickelson Responds to His “Called-Out” Gambling Losses

Recently it has come out that Phil Mickelson has a bit of a gambling addiction. Ok it’s not really news to anyone who has known he is that the man loves to make a wager or twelve. With all the news and stories in recent days coming up about how often he really bets, none was more surprising to me than the story Gary McCord shared via the Firepit collective.

When all the drama and chaos around LIV happened Phil went silent on social media for some time. That’s not what happened today as he has addressed the comments about him and his addiction.

Phil has always been all over any and all opportunities to make money. When you have had the success he has had and you’ve got that money he’s got why not place a bet. No athlete is more well known to place a bet on anything and everything than Micheal Jordan.

At the end of the day Phil can afford it.  As long as it doesn’t come out that he bet against himself or the US to lose the Ryder Cup then this story will die off as quickly as it take Phil to place another bet.

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
