Wyndham Clark Breaks Course Record at Pebble Beach
Wyndham Clark’s round of 60 has broken the long-standing course record at Pebble Beach.
The 2023 US Open champion started the day well back, carding two eagles on the front nine to make the turn in just 28 strokes, eight under for the day and suddenly leading the tournament. His run from the sixth hole to the fifteenth included an eagle and seven birdies, and he needed only 17 putts through his first 15 holes.
Clark was dialled all day, making over 200 feet of putts and annoyingly, the 59 was only a few revolutions away, after leaving three putts short on the last three holes.

Wyndham Clark was fortunate, however, hitting one into the left rough on 16 before finding his ball in what appeared to be animal marks. The resulting one club length free relief and excellent drop meant he had a great lie, and took full advantage hitting a wedge to eight feet and sinking the putt.
Clark becomes one of a handful of players to shoot 60 in a PGA Tour event, just a day after Joaquin Niemann carded a 59 over in Mayakoba. Clark will go into Sunday holding the lead over his competitors, as he is chased down by Thomas Detry, Ludvig Aberg, Scottie Scheffler, Matthieu Pavon and plenty more.
The scintillating golf on display in these tournaments acts as another healthy reminder, these guys are good.
