Shot Scope’s X5 Golf Watch is already one of the premiere options on the market, but on Monday, the company is making it even better by adding Full Hole Maps on over 36,000 courses worldwide, and it’s completely free and does not require the purchase of a new unit.

The X5 watch will now display detailed layouts of every hole with distances to the pin and the middle of the green.

But Shot Scope is going a step further by also integrating a personalized touch, which will display a golfer’s personal club distances through an interactive map, helping enable pinpoint shot making and easy decision making. This will be enabled after at least five rounds edited and signed off on your account.

No more will golfers who use the X5 think excessively about what club they should use for their next shot. Instead, the X5 will encourage you to pick a club tailored to the distances that you hit.

David Hunter, CEO of Shot Scope, said:

“The addition of full hole maps to the X5 is something existing users can really make use of, seeing how the bank of statistics they’ve already collected can be used to inform their round as they take on each hole.”

The upgrade is completely free for all golfers using the X5 golf watch during the 2024 season, and will require no subscription fees.

The new hole maps also will include adjustable distances lines that will allow the user to scroll up or down to find the correct landing area on fairways or hazards.

It will also give 100, 150, and 200-yard lay up distances.

The Shot Scope X5 watch is available for $299.99 and can be bought at retail locations like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, PGA Superstore, or online.
