PXG Brings the Tour Truck Experience to the Public

Being a professional golfer comes with some incredible experiences. One of them being access to virtually every any piece of equipment at the drop of a hat. I mean, imagine being on the range before an event and deciding you want to swap out a hybrid for a driving iron or a modified grind setup on your wedges.

Good news: you no longer need to imagine what this is like.

During the remainder of the 2023-24 PGA TOUR golf season, the PXG Tour Truck will be making stops at select events and offering the Tour Truck Experience to the golfing public. Simply sign up and get fit for the new Black Ops driver at the Tour event, and a Master PXG Technician will build your new setup on the spot and in the Tour Truck.

As of posting, these are the scheduled stops for the PXG Tour Truck:

  • March 7, 2014 — Arnold Palmer Invitational (Orlando, FL)
  • March 28, 2024 — Texas Children’s Houston Open (Houston, TX)
  • May 9, 2024 — Wells Fargo Championship (Charlotte, NC)
  • May 23, 2024 — Charles Schwab Challenge (Dallas Fort Worth, TX)
  • June 20, 2024 — The Travelers Championship (Westchester, CT)
  • June 27, 2024 — Rocket Mortgage Classic (Detroit, MI)
  • July 25, 2024 — 3M Open (Minneapolis, MN)
  • August 22, 2024 — BMW Championship (Denver, CO)
  • August 29, 2024 — TOUR Championship Atlanta (Atlanta, GA)

In addition to getting fit for the new Black Ops Driver, PXG fans also will have the opportunity to meet PGA and LPGA Tour Pros who will be helping host events throughout the season. For example, this past Tuesday in Orlando, Eric Cole participated in a meet-and-greet with his mom—and former LPGA golfer—Laura Baugh.

During the event, Eric and Laura participated in a Q&A, reflected on their respective Rookie of the Year awards and participated in a closest-to-the-pin challenge (along with some informal lessons) against PXG fans! And there’s no telling who could be at future stops: fan-favorite Joel Dahmen or former bouncer and defending Mexico Open Champion Jake Knapp, among numerous other PXG professionals.

Ever since golf became a competitive outlet, nothing brings Eric more joy than a well struck 4 iron. And despite living in NYC, Eric makes it a priority to work on his game and fitness during the week, along with a round or two over the weekend. Fortunately, he’s got a very understanding fiancé who (for the time being) accepts him and his obsession. Follow Eric on IG @hozel_rocket.
