WATCH: Viral Clip Shows Justin Thomas Aiming Tee Shot Directly at Fans
Justin Thomas took an aggressive line on a tee shot during this past weekend’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, going directly over the gallery of fans to his right.
Thomas, who finished T-12 at -3, chose to forgo the traditional and more conservative line straight down the fairway, and instead took it straight over the gallery and attempted to find a different fairway for an easier shot into the green.
Bay Hill has a variety of holes that give golfers a risk and reward-typed scenario during the tee shot. Thomas took the risk and was ultimately rewarded for his attempt:

Thomas has struggled for the past year with his game, as last year he missed the FedEx Cup Playoffs after a devastating lip-out on a lengthy chip that put him just outside the Top 70.
However, JT still made the Ryder Cup team and contributed to the Americans’ point total, despite the team losing to the Europeans in Rome last year.
Thomas is still finding his footing through the early 2024 campaign, but it appears he has found some additional stability in his play thanks to plenty of hard work this past offseason. He was, at one point, tied for the lead this past weekend, before shooting a +1 73 on Sunday.
So far this season, Thomas has struggled with his putting. However, he is ranked 21st on Tour in the Strokes Gained: Around the Green category.
