‘Don’t Stop Believin’ – McIlroy / Lowry Duo Victorious in New Orleans
The only team format on the PGA Tour schedule, hosted by TPC Louisiana, has been a resounding success, and Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry have added more silverware to their resumes after a team win this week in New Orleans.
Lowry and McIlroy started hot with a 61 in four ball, hung around with respectable scores in the foursomes format, and closed out on Sunday with a round of four under par 68.

Their competitors did not go away quietly, with Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer storming into a tie for the lead with a Sunday round of 63. The resulting playoff was short lived, a bogey from Ramey and Trainer was not enough to prolong the playoff after a par from the Irish-Northern Irish duo was enough to clinch the title.
The biggest takeaways from the week? New Orleans is a fan favourite, Rory is back to winning ways just in time for Valhalla – and it turns out he’s embracing the new Rory that’s focused only on golf.
Rory enjoyed himself during celebrations, belting out Journey’s classic in front of adoring fans on Sunday night.
