LIV Golf to Hold Individual Championship at Public Chicago Golf Course

One of the most unique things about golf is that you, Joe Golf Fan, can play the same courses that the players compete on – well except for Augusta National. 

The only caveat is that it will run you a fortune to play on some of the world’s most famous tracks. 

But that’s not the case for the course that will crown LIV Golf’s $18 million champion this September.

The series’ individual championship event will take place at Bolingbrook Golf Club, which is in southwest suburb of Chicago. 

Bolingbrook, which is a public golf course that opened in 1992, can be played for as low as $60, according to GolfNow. 

“The passionate sports fans of Chicago have embraced the intense competition and fan-first experience that LIV Golf delivers, and this year it will be an incredible setting for a high-stakes event as players battle it out for the individual title and a roster spot for 2025,” said Greg Norman, LIV Golf’s commissioner and CEO.

“We’re thrilled to return to Illinois with an event at Bolingbrook Golf Club as we celebrate the season-long race and set the stage for the 2024 finale.”

 

Chicagoland hosted a LIV event in each of its first two seasons. Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois, hosted the circuit in 2022 and ‘23.

For the past two years, Doral in South Florida hosted the LIV Team Championship. The circuit, however, already played there in 2024.

Sports Illustrated reports that event will be contested at Maridoe Golf Club, which is north of Dallas.
