Macade Golf Clothing Review: A Brand for the True and Modern Golf Purist
There are a lot of golf brands out there that use flashy colors, interesting fits, and polarizing looks to gain our attention. You might see some of your favorite Tour pros wearing these brands now as the new trend in golf has swayed away from your large OEMs and more toward small, niche brands that are more individualized and unique.
Macade is a mix of both. A small, tight-knit group and brand that has a lot to offer: classy clothes, modern fits, and neutral colors. But their brand is more than just the five-star clothes they make; it’s a shoutout to the true and modern golf purist.
It’s About The Silence of Those Crisp Early Mornings
Everyone has had the struggle of hearing their alarm at 5:00 a.m. and rolling out of bed with the regret that they should have just scheduled the afternoon tee time with their buddies. But there is something about the surreal feeling of an early morning round of golf that just hits better than any other time of day. The sunrise, three of your friends, and the game you all love to play together.
That’s exactly what the Macade brand embodies:
“It’s about the silence of those crisp early mornings, the buzz when teeing off, and the stories swapped at the 19th hole. The frustration and elation, the duffed shots, the lost balls, and that moment of perfect contact. All for the love of golf.”
Earlier this year, Titleist released a series of videos about finding the words for a perfect iron shot. It encapsulates what we love about the game, and what keeps us coming back for more after a tough time out on the links.

Macade is a brand founded by golfers for golfers. It is owned and run by people who chase those same feelings as you: the feelings of the perfect ball strike, the sound of the ball dropping in the cup after a perfectly run birdie putt, and the serene atmosphere of a quiet golf course.
Starting in 2019, Macade has found its way to 100,000 golfers globally, including me. It is a brand that truly feels like it cares about offering golfers the best quality possible. There are other brands that claim to have this, and they might. But Macade is truly something unique. The quality of their clothing and the tailored fit for golfers convinces you that this is a company that wants the best stuff out there available to the public.
TOUR Pros Love Macade, Too
Alex Noren, Garrick Higgo, and Gabriella Then are three professional players who have embraced Macade. You should, too. The quality, fit, and overall look of the Macade lineup is one that offers versatility but a clean and athletic look that truly is something unique.
“At Macade, we are extremely thorough. Developing, testing, and releasing one key piece at a time ensures that the quality of our products is maintained to our customers’ high standards. We take great pride in sourcing the most technical materials and crafting innovative designs, ultimately marrying up top functionality with modern styles.”
It’s not just talk, either. I’ve tried many Macade pieces as the Spring has gone from cool and crisp to hot and humid. It has a perfect mix of products for golf in any condition.
My Favorite Pieces
I received a great package of Macade golf clothing and it has quickly become a regular piece of my rotation. Here are my favorites so far:
Chase Charcoal TX Tour Shirt – Buy Here
A looser-fitting polo is nice every once in a while, and it’s even better when it’s lightweight and breathable. That’s what you’ll get here.

The sleeves are a little longer than most polos, but they cuff to your arms in a nice way. It’s not restricting. On humid days, this is one of my go-to polos.
Navy Lightweight Trouser – Buy Here
I’m pretty particular about how my pants fit. I like them to be tapered and not cover much of my shoe, but not as short and tight as a jogger. These are right up there with my favorites. The only pair of pants I can even think of that are remotely close are UNRL’s Concourse Pant.

These pants taper and have a slimmer yet roomy fit without too much restriction. They are also forgiving in terms of bending, and while they may not stretch like an active-fit pair of pants, they have a great elasticity factor to them.
Spruce or Cedar Lightweight Tour Hoodie – Buy Here
It’s pretty difficult to find a good golf hoodie. Regular hoodies are more restrictive than what you’d prefer on the golf course. You could buy a size big, but then you might be dealing with too much.
Some are good fitting and not restrictive but then they’re not thick enough. You still want some layering to them, especially on cooler days.
However, I might have found the most ideal one:

Pictured here is the Spruce, while the Cedar is a shade of brown. It uses a mix of 69% Polyester, 24% Modal fiber, and 7% Spandex fabric for a good fit with no restriction whatsoever. It’s my favorite hoodie for the course, but I also slip it on at home quite often.
Macade Collection
Perfect for the days you want to dress a little better and then grab a drink or dinner after, Macade has a wide variety of colors and clothing options to choose from. It is one of the best brands I’ve had the pleasure of working with and in terms of quality, it’s right up there with the heavy hitters. You won’t be disappointed.
