Tiger Woods Begins Preparations for The Open at Royal Troon
Seeking his sixteenth Major Championship this weekend at The Open, Tiger Woods arrived on-site at Royal Troon in the United Kingdom on Sunday to prepare to capture his most recent professional victory.
Woods has played all three Major Championships this year, making the cut at just one of them: The Masters. The PGA Championship and U.S. Open were not as friendly to Woods as Augusta has, but he will look to make it fifty percent at the Majors this year in terms of cuts made.
Sporting his now-signature Sun Day Red brand, Woods was seen playing several holes of golf on Sunday. He was also spotted out on Troon early Monday, preparing for this week’s Major:

With his past leg and back injuries, Woods requires a lot of attention during his weeks of play. The mornings are early and are filled with physical activity to get muscle groups firing and stretching to prevent further injury. The post-round itinerary features massage therapy, more stretching, and sometimes hot and cold tubs to keep muscles and ligaments loose.
Woods also depends on hot and humid weather to keep his body loose during the round. This week, he won’t have that.
The forecast for the four days of golf is not a favorable outlook for Woods — he will deal with rain and a high temperature of just 64 degrees for all four days.
Nevertheless, Woods will attempt to capture Major number 16 this weekend — do you think he has what it takes?
