BREAKING: Sun Day Red Teases Shoe Release
It’s been about nine months since Tiger Woods parted ways with Nike and launched his new apparel brand, Sun Day Red (SDR). But it’s easy to forget that approximately a year ago, Tiger stopped wearing Nike shoes and, instead, wore FootJoy Premieres when competing.

That, however, may also be coming to an end now.

SDR teased in a social media post that it will be debuting a “high-performance classic golf shoe,” a first for the brand, on December 4, 2024.
While it’s hard to get a read on what this new shoe will look like, the only clear shot of the SDR shoe features its spiked sole.
However, from the silhouette shots, it appears likely that this will feature a lace design. Likewise, the “classic golf shoe” description leads me to believe it’ll be a leather design with a traditional design and colorways; I’m thinking all black and white, but no electric green with blue accenting.

While we’ll all eagerly await the official release of the SDR shoes in about a month’s time, the next question most of us will ponder over is price.
Unfortunately, it’s no longer a secret, but SDR has taken the “overpriced” stigma from PXG and ran away with it. Case in point: the SDR 3L Rain Jacket and Pants are priced at $550 and $500, respectively, meaning an SDR rain outfit will set you back over $1,000!
Add in a few $50 ball markers, and it’s not hard to understand why the SDR releases have drawn the ire of golfers who were hoping to revive their childhood memories and support their favorite golfer.
