Titleist Teases New GT280 Mini Driver Ahead of Kapalua
Titleist is set to launch the GT280 Mini Driver in the coming weeks, and the company is teasing the first images of the club ahead of the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua, where it will get its first looks on the PGA TOUR.
The GT280 is going to first be played at Kapalua soon, marking the beginning of TOUR validation for the club, which is a mini driver, a popular and hip selection of many professional and amateur players in today’s game.
This will be the first time the GT280 hits official competition:
It seemed evident that the launch of mini drivers from several manufacturers over the past two years was a sign of things to come: it was only a matter of time before everyone got on board.
Players on the PGA TOUR worked with Titleist to develop and test the GT280 mini driver and prototypes like the TSR 2W.

A 13-degree club head that can be played off-the-tee or off-the-deck is the highlight of the GT280, and while details are extremely slim, it features the same clean look that Titleist brought out with its lineup of drivers and metalwoods for the 2024 season.
Both Cameron Young and Will Zalatoris equipped the club to help Titleist TOUR reps and R&D engineers refine and adjust the club for use on TOUR.
