Gimme Clubs Launches New Golf Club Lending Marketplace

Published

on

Does your set of golf clubs sit around most weekends gathering dust?  Those unused sticks probably cost you a pretty penny too.  But that’s no longer the nature of the game—at least not according to a new golf club sharing community called “Gimme Clubs.”

Gimme Clubs is a newly launched service that allows golfers to rent out their unused golf clubs through its intuitive web marketplace.

Gimmie Clubs Launches New Golf Club Renting Marketplace

According to Gimme Clubs, their new golf club lending marketplace solves two problems for golfers looking to rent clubs:

“For the casual golfer: golf clubs are very expensive, and a lot of people are casual golfers who play 1-5 times per year. Often, these golfers have an old crappy set or no clubs at all because it’s hard to justify spending that much money for something you would only use a few times a year.

For the travelling golfer: many golfers love to play when on vacation, but traveling with their golf clubs is a hassle and can be expensive (Typically $50 round trip if flying). If they are only going to play 1 day on vacation, bringing their own clubs probably isn’t worth it, and the risk getting their clubs banged up during travel, or worse, being lost.”

Their solution:

“Allow people to rent clubs from other golfers just like them. Many golfers have a set of clubs that goes unused often (because let’s face it, who could afford to golf every day? That shiz is expensive). Through Gimme Clubs, they can rent out their clubs when they don’t need them. Both the casual golfer and the traveling golfer can get an affordable set and have the options to find the clubs they prefer.”

Gimmie Clubs Golf Club Rental Marketplace

The company has assured us that signing up is quick, easy, and most importantly free (it costs you nothing to advertise your unused clubs for rent).  The only cost incurred by the club lender is a 15% transaction fee once a rental has been made.

So now to the big question we’re sure you’re asking (because we did too) is, “what happens if my clubs are damaged, lost, or never returned?”  Here again is Gimmie Clubs’ answer:

“The renter will take full responsibility for the clubs while in their possession. Any damages will be paid for by them. However, in the event that we are unable to attain the money from the renter, Gimme Clubs will cover the costs of the damages up to $2000.”

For those looking to rent clubs the process is also quite simple.  Users are able to browse, search, and sort the online club rental marketplace to find clubs that meet their personal playing preferences and geographic requirements.

Gimmie Clubs Online Golf Club Rental Exchange Marketplace

Gimme Clubs sharing community allows you to sort offerings by a number of personal and geographic preferences.

Within the community you are able to see pictures of the clubs you will be renting, and even schedule, and pay for your rental safely and securely through the Gimme Clubs portal.  All transactions are currently done through the widely popular PayPal gateway, which means no shady backyard cash deals to be wary of.

Visit: http://www.gimmeclubs.com Johnny and Jack learn about Gimme Clubs, a golf club sharing community where club owners can list and rent out their golf clubs to people who need them for a day.

The only drawback we see so far with the newly launched Gimme Clubs service is that, as with any online sharing community, the marketplace is only as strong as its number of participants—which is this case is currently quite limited.  The service however is quite new (officially launching back on January 9th, 2015), so we’re still holding out hope to see some growth in the club sharing community over the next few months.

In the meantime, we want to know what you think about the idea.
