The Wocket Golf Pants Review
I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing some fun, trendy, fashionable, and interesting golf apparel over the years, but I have never come across a pair of golf pants or shorts with a built in towel in the rear pocket. That was until I got my hands on the Wocket™.
Wocket™ Performance Apparel is about to launch a massive Kickstarter campaign for their “Ultimate Golf Pant,” which features a patented pocket with a built in microfiber towel. Talk about convenienc—think about how many times in a round of golf you reach for your towel to wipe your ball before a putt, clean your club heads and grips, and dry the sweat from our hands.
Wocket’s idea for this product was to help golfers eliminate the “chores, distractions and interruptions in a golfer’s game” as they mentioned in their recent press release. The intention seems simple; make life a little easier and cleaner out on the course.
I dig the concept and I’m excited to share with you what I think of this design.

First, watch this very short clip showing the basic idea of how it works. Notice the microfiber towel is stitched into the top of the pocket and easily sits in the rear pocket free of lumps or distractions. The towel comes out of the pocket with a simple pull and you can let it hang behind you without distraction. Some players leave it out throughout a full round. I tested both scenarios; taking it out when needed during the front nine and leaving it out for the entire back nine.
Let’s just say, leaving it out is much more convenient and not a distraction at all.
The Towel is the Big Feature
The towel is not made of cheap material and is not to be likened to that junky rag you clean your tires with. The double-sided microfiber towel has millions of microfibers woven in to pull dirt and moisture like a magnet which essentially cleans and dries things better and faster. Based on my first-hand experience I can tell you that the towel never really stayed wet and I was surprised by how quickly it dries. The towel itself permanently stitched into a pocket made of antimicrobial wicking fabric and always seems fresh and clean, especially after a wash.
This is the exact size of the towel compared to my hand and shirt for scaling purposes.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with the founder of Wocket, LLC, Paul Dorn. Paul came up with idea after playing on a wet, dewy morning. “You simply pull it out, leave it out, and use it unconsciously, like, 250 times per round!”
When asked specifically how he came up with the idea Paul said:
“I took a wet practice swing and was without a towel, as usual. Standing there with mud on my index finger, I wondered why they didn’t have a golf pant that could solve this problem. I mean you’re already wiping everything on your pants and hem anyway. So, I mocked up my pocket towel idea with paper and glue. My sister sewed and installed the first prototype into my favorite pants. I played with them the next day and it was a revelation. It just takes the whole towel, cleaning thing out of the game.”

The Feel
Let’s forget about the towel for now and focus on the comfort and feel of the actual garment. I wore the shorts, which felt very comfortable to me out on the course, during a 5-hour round. The material wasn’t riding up or wrinkly or stiff. I was able to breathe, move, swing, walk and lightly jog without a problem. The company uses contemporary and traditional styling fabrics which creates a cool look with what they call a “four way stretch for ‘all-day-walk’ comfort.”
This video essentially tells the whole Wocket story:

We love how all of the Wocket garments are made with an antimicrobial material which essentially means that they are dirt resistant, very breathable, and pretty darn stylish. You may get the occasional, “why do you have a towel sticking out of your pocket?” but that will stop quickly when your playing partners all start wishing they had it during a friendly match on a wet and muddy day!
The Cost
Because this is product is just launching as a Kickstarter campaign, you can get in early with some discounted prices. The shorts that I reviewed will retail for $89.00 which is right in line with high quality fabric golf shorts from the big brands. However, early adopters can grab a pair of these on Kickstarter for a discounted pledge of $69.00.
As for the pants, those will hit stores for about $110 and you can score them for $79.00 during their funding campaign.
Here’s a full menu of what your early pledges can get you:
