6 Year Old Jaden Soong Might Just be the Next Tiger Woods

I recently swore off writing any more articles on the return of “you know who”.

But that won’t stop me from writing about the potential next Tiger Woods.

Meet six-year old, Jaden Soong, owner of one of the prettiest swings you’ll ever see.

I can’t decide whether to be angry or envious over how good this kid is.  I suppose it’s (mostly) envious.

I mean…come on.

Jaden picked up a left-handed club at age two.  Roughly two years later he would actually start swinging right-handed.

And he’s more than just an Instagram and YouTube star.  In 2015, at the age of five, he got his first hole-in-one.  He’s won three “I Got Skills” competitions.  In May of this year, he placed first in the Tregnan Spring Challenge as the youngest competitor in the field.  In June, he won the U.S. Kids Junior Golf Tournament.  In July, he shot a 3-under, 33, making birdie on holes 4, 5, and 6, to win another tournament.  Finally, in August of this year, he shot a 4-under, 32, to win yet another tournament.

He’s also been featured on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive and ABC 7 News.

This kid is destined for big things.  He’s currently got the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship in his cross-hairs.  I imagine it won’t be long before he’s chasing down bigger and better things on a golf course.

Maybe even on the one that hosts the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship.

I mean, look at this swing!

Kris became obsessed with the game of golf after deciding to finally hang up his baseball cleats about four years ago. Still learning the game, he’s leaned on much of the on-line golf community for help and loves to return the favor whenever possible. A contributor to several golf sites in the past, Kris writes from the perspective of your average golfer. One who has a passion for the game, but also has the typical restrictions of life and budget.
