Equipment
You Can Test Any Club With Global Golf’s ‘U-Try Program’
No matter whether you’re in the market for a new driver, irons, wedges, or even a putter, the biggest problem with buying new equipment is not having the opportunity to put them in play before pulling the trigger and, more or less, committing to that setup. While it’s great to get custom fit, not everyone has access to a quality fitter. Additionally, nothing will ever replicate the testing you get from putting the clubs in play and confirming whether they inspire confidence and complement your game.
Fortunately, Global Golf launched the U-try program to specifically address this void in the market. Indeed, while Global Golf initially launched the program with drivers (which is how I was able to test the Callaway Rogue last year before purchasing it), they’ve recently expanded the offerings to encompass every club in your bag.
That’s right, no matter whether you’re looking for a driver, fairway wood, hybrid, irons, wedge, or putter, Global Golf is now offering the newest products from popular brands like Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, Mizuno, Ping, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, Wilson Staff, and XXIO.
The newest development in the U-try program is the addition of wedges and putters, which includes the Titleist’s Scotty Cameron and Vokey lines, as well as Callaway’s Mack Daddy wedges and Odyssey’s Stroke Lab putters.
In case you’re wondering how the U-try program works, allow me to reassure you that the hardest thing will be deciding which club you want to try:
- Step 1: Head over to globalgolf.com/u-try, check out all the different options, and select the club you’d like to try for a nominal fee—drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, wedges, and putters will cost $25 to try, while an iron set will cost $100.
- Step 2: Golf. Once your clubs arrive in the mail, you have 14 days to try them out in as many rounds as you can squeeze in during that two week time-frame.
- Step 3: At the end of your two weeks, you can either (a) keep the clubs and pay the current list price, minus the trial fee, or (b) return them with a prepaid shipping label.
That’s it.
And in case you’re interested in trying multiple things at once, U-try allows you to try out two (2) items at a time for head-to-head comparisons.
In sum, no matter whether you’re in the market for a new set of irons, struggling with the flatstick and deciding whether it’s time for something, or interested in seeing how your current gamer stacks up against the newest driver offerings, Global Golf’s U-try program allows you to try the newest offerings from up to 10 different manufacturers.
