Tiger Goes Under The Knife Again
— Tiger Woods (@TigerWoods) August 27, 2019
While the entire golf world was tuned into the Tour Championship and checking out Phil Mickelson’s poolside thirst traps, Tiger Woods tweeted out that he has once again gone under the knife to repair damage to his knee.
I would love to be competing at East Lake right now, but sipping 1985 Haut-Brion poolside while working on my tan and spending time on social media isn’t a bad way to spend the week either. pic.twitter.com/6kfo2esGNv

It’s not surprising that he would have the surgery scheduled when everyone else was focused somewhere else.
Woods tweeted that he fully expects to be traveling and playing in Japan this October. This surgery was just to repair some minor cartilage damage.
Per Dr. Vern Cooley who performed the surgery: “I expect Tiger to make a full recovery.”
