You gotta play pranks on your buddies, right?

Even as the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup were winding down and all of the pressure to finish strong was on, some PGA TOUR players were still able to have some fun. Most notably, Dustin Johnson decided to have some fun at the expense of Brooks Koepka.

For those that don’t know, Koepka and DJ have a pretty close bond. The two have been friends for years, living very close to each other and training together. On top of that, their significant others are also friends so they often hang out off of the course. Many thought their relationship may have become awkward, however, with Koepka overtaking DJ as the more elite golfer of the two but their relationship is rock solid.

If you don’t believe me, just check out the prank that DJ pulled on Brooks this week. For round two, Johnson teed off about two hours earlier than Koepka and decided to have some fun with Brooks’ parking space. Johnson took the now infamous preview of Koepka’s work in ESPN Magazine’s The Body Issue and plastered it on Koepka’s nameplate at his parking spot and on his locker.

Unfortunately for DJ, some fans who spotted the prank had it on social media fast enough that Brooks knew what was coming before he arrived. But he still thought the whole thing was hilarious. “We’re just laughing about it,” Koepka said. “I had two hours to laugh about it, and it’s not really that funny when you get here and the cameras are there. Like I’ve already laughed and joked about it.”

It’s probably a good thing that Koepka got all of his giggles out before teeing off because he needed everything in his arsenal to try and hold off Rory McIlroy on Sunday. While he wasn’t able to take home the victory, the prank certainly didn’t affect his performance and we were glad to see Brooks laugh since most of the time he makes the news lately, he’s defending himself from critics.

With a good chunk of time before The Body Issue comes out, I’m sure there will be plenty of more memes on the way of Koepka’s poses. I bet Koepka will get a lot more laughs out of it until then but once 2020 hits, he’s certain to go back into professional mode and dominate the golf world again.
