GOAT: Michael Jordan Beat Brooks Koepka In A Comeback

Since “The Last Dance” documentary aired on ESPN, there have been many sports personalities that have come on air to discuss their memories and moments with Michael Jordan. One of those personalities was Brooks Koepka. And Koepka provided some details on the time where he was schooled on the golf course by Jordan.

As Koepka described it to Scott Van Pelt on ESPN, he and Jordan were playing a friendly game together and it was coming to an end. The two were teeing it up on the 17th hole with Koepka 1-up when Brooks decided to smack talk the NBA legend. He told Jordan that he had him right where he wanted him. And in classic MJ fashion, he said that it was the fourth quarter and he never loses.

Well, if you couldn’t guess how this one ended, MJ ended up beating Koepka on 17 and 18 to take the win. He was right, he never loses even on the golf course. And after that, Koepka said that he would never smack talk the basketball legend ever again. And that competitiveness is what has been well on display in “The Last Dance” if you’re interested in watching it.

As for Jordan’s golf skills, most people know that he can play based on his pro-am appearances, celebrity outings, and even his Space Jam golf cameo, but you have to say that it’s mighty impressive that Jordan can beat the former world #1 and multiple major champion, especially with the pressure on. Koepka said that he hasn’t played Jordan again but he’s looking forward to it without any trash talk.

Without golf happening for the immediate future, it’s pretty cool to have stories like these to come out. And for the time being, we can imagine MJ shocking Koepka in a friendly match while we wait for the PGA TOUR to get back up and running.
