TOUR News: Rahm Officially a Team Callaway & TravisMathew Staffer
Over the past month, there’s been numerous indicators that Jon Rahm would be changing teams, leaving behind TaylorMade and adidas Golf for Callaway and TravisMathew (a Callaway affiliate). We reported on this rumor in early December.
Well, the wait is finally over as Rahm is now officially a member of Team Callaway, as the recently updated Team Callaway section of Callaway’s website is now showing Rahm alongside Xander Schauffele, Phil Mickelson, Marc Leishman, Kevin Na and Francesco Molinario.

Likewise, Rahm has also updated his social media channels with similar information, as shown by his Instagram below:

According to different outlets, the Callaway/TravisMathew is a multi-year deal, and it appears that the new partnership will be wasting no time as Rahm is scheduled to play in the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua’s Plantation Course (Jan. 7-10, 2021). Rahm is supposedly putting in play the new Callaway driver, supposedly named the Epic Speed, alongside some prototype irons and the Chrome Soft X Ball.
And while the WITB remains to be confirmed until later this week, it appears that Rahm isn’t missing a beat, as Rahm stated:
“The equipment is already performing well for me, and in my first round with the new setup, I shot a course record 59 at Silverleaf [in Scottsdale, Ariz.]. I have confidence in my new Callaway clubs—and especially the golf ball, which has really impressed me during the testing process.”

However, it’s worth noting that Rahm was actually very familiar with Callaway gear, as he used it while playing at Arizona State University, where he won 11 tournaments.
