Andy Sullivan Secures Third European Tour Title with a Nine-Shot Victory
After being at the top of the Portugal Masters leaderboard all week, Andy Sullivan finally sealed the deal with a nine shot victory.
The Englishman entered the final round with a five shot lead ahead of Eduardo De La Riva, but ended up storming ahead of the pack today with a closing round of 66, making his total 23 under par.
Chris Wood came second with 14 under par, closely followed by Trevor Fisher, Eduardo De La Riva and Anthony Wall another shot behind at -13.
His nine-shot victory makes him the first player to win three European Tour titles this season, after winning the South Africa Open in January, and the Joburg Open in March.
This win moves Sullivan into the top 50 of the World Rankings, and he is currently 15th in the Rankings in the Race to Dubai, with 1,237,903 points.
