It feels like every time you turn on a PGA TOUR broadcast lately, there’s a good chance you’re looking at a Titleist driver behind the ball.

That trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon—and if anything, it might be picking up even more momentum.

Just look at the past couple of weeks. At THE PLAYERS Championship, Cameron Young put together a huge performance at TPC Sawgrass, highlighted by that absolute bomb down the 18th fairway.

Not only did he have a Titleist GT driver in hand, but so did the runner-up and five of the top seven finishers. That’s not coincidence—that’s dominance.

Then it happened again the following week at the Valspar Championship, where each of the top three finishers had a Titleist driver in the bag. When you start seeing that kind of consistency across different courses and conditions, it tells you something: players trust what they’re gaming.

Now, here’s where things get interesting.

This week at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, players are getting their first real look at what’s next: the new Titleist GTS driver lineup. And based on early reactions, there’s already some buzz building.

The GTS family includes three models—GTS2, GTS3, and GTS4—and they’re not just showing up on the PGA TOUR. Titleist is rolling them out simultaneously across the LPGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour, which gives you a pretty good idea of how seriously they’re taking this launch.

What’s always been interesting about how Titleist develops equipment is how closely they work with tour players throughout the process.

These aren’t just end-of-the-line testers—they’re involved early, giving feedback that directly shapes the final product. And when you hear players talk about new gear before it’s even released, you can usually tell if something’s legit.

Take Michael Brennan, for example. After getting some time with a prototype late last year, he didn’t exactly hold back.

“I’m pumped…I was disappointed I couldn’t play it, put it right in the bag. I love my GT, but I’m looking forward to the ‘S’ coming out here soon.”

That’s the kind of reaction you want to hear if you’re Titleist—and probably the kind that gets other players curious pretty quickly.

Thursday marks the first chance for players to actually put the GTS drivers into play in competition. That’s usually when things really start to take shape. If a few early adopters see success, don’t be surprised if more players start making the switch in a hurry.

It’s also worth noting that Titleist has already been the most played driver brand on the PGA TOUR for seven straight seasons, holding around 40% of the field. That’s a massive number when you consider how many equipment options players have at that level.

So the question now becomes: does GTS build on that lead?

We’ll start getting answers pretty quickly as more players test them under tournament pressure. But if early reactions—and recent results—are any indication, Titleist might not just be maintaining its position… it could be extending it.

Either way, this is one to keep an eye on over the next few weeks as more players get their hands on the new lineup.
