AWKWARD: Matt Kuchar and Sergio Garcia Video Was Kind of Weird

In this social media heavy world, every story has the chance of being amplified or blown out of proportion.   In case you missed it,  at the Dell Match Play last week, Sergio Garcia was in a match against Matt Kuchar when he missed an angry tap-in before Kuchar had the chance to say “that’s good”.

Long story short, Kuch pleaded with the officials.  He said he would have gave that to him anyway and when he was denied the request, Sergio suggested that Kuchar should concede a hole to make it right. 

Honestly, I thought the video was a nice touch, but I do think it was awkward to watch. And how do you think the conversation went before hitting the record button? 

 

It was nice to run into Matt Kuchar at Austin Golf Club today. A lot has been said about Saturday and most has been misconstrued. We’re all good here. Nothing but respect for each other and it’s time to move on.
