Barstool’s Fore Play Losing One of Its (KEY) Members
Now that the FedEx Cup has come a close, this time of year is frequently reserved for watching what professionals change sponsors and, more recently, who is departing for LIV.
But instead of announcing a 2025 equipment spotting or some other landmark sponsorship reshuffling, the first significant off-season news is that Dan Rapaport is leaving Barstool’s Fore Play.

Rapaport was welcomed as the “fourth” (fifth if you count Large) man of the Fore Play squad two years ago and quickly became a central member due to his journalistic experience and playing skill—which earned him a spot in The Q at Myrtle Beach.
But in the most recent Fore Play podcasts, Dan announced that he’s leaving the Fore Play team.
For those looking for drama, there really isn’t any. Dan, in fact, sang his praises for the other Fore Play guys. Instead, it seems that Dan believes Barstool isn’t the same company he joined—Dan, notably, joined while Barstool was owned by PENN Entertainment—and decided that it was time for him to go a different direction. Dan concluded his farewell announcement by noting that he never planned for Barstool/Fore Play to be a permanent gig.
Dan stated he’s going to take a few weeks to himself but expects to reappear in a more journalistic role like he became known for. That said, the Fore Play foursome is now incomplete, so it’ll be interesting who—if anyone—fills that vacant role.
