BREAKING: Tiger and Charlie Woods Playing at PNC Championship

Things weren’t exactly optimistic when Tiger Woods appeared for a press conference at the Hero World Challenge last week. Indeed, he went as far as saying, “I’m not tournament sharp yet… I’m not sharp enough to compete against them at this level. So when I’m ready to compete and play at this level, then I will.”

In other words, the 15-time Major Champion was not willing to commit to any timetable about his return—whether that meant the 2025 Masters or something sooner (or later).

Fortunately, we won’t even have to wait until the New Year to see Tiger tee it up in competition.

Fresh off the presses (Instagram), the PNC Championship confirms that Tiger and Charlie Woods will compete at the PNC Championship on December 21st and 22nd at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.

This will mark the fifth time the father-son duo will compete in the event, but perhaps the most eager appearance since their first.

Eyes will be glued to screens anytime the Woods are featured to see how Tiger, who disclosed that he’s had additional medical procedures recently, moves through the two rounds.

Ever since golf became a competitive outlet, nothing brings Eric more joy than a well struck 4 iron. And despite living in NYC, Eric makes it a priority to work on his game and fitness during the week, along with a round or two over the weekend. Fortunately, he’s got a very understanding fiancé who (for the time being) accepts him and his obsession. Follow Eric on IG @hozel_rocket.
