BREAKING: Tiger Woods Commits to the Memorial Tournament
In a tweet early Thursday, Tiger Woods announced that he has committed to the Memorial next week. And WOW, will it be a stacked field like it usually is. Jack’s event at Muirfield has been a signature stop on TOUR, an event most players want to pay their respects to both Jack and the USA.
And Tiger is no stranger to Muirfield Village. In fact, he’s won there four times, including his back-to-back triumph in 2000/2001. Who can forget the infamous chip-in from the deep stuff with nothing but fast greens and water on the other side?

In fact, it was this event that marked Tiger’s 73rd win on TOUR, which tied the Jack Nicklaus for second most wins on TOUR at the time. Tiger has since passed that mark and is one away from tying Sam Snead for 82 wins all-time. Something we can see happening, perhaps even at this event.

It is certainly one of the best events on TOUR. Let’s see if Tiger can repeat his success and tie yet another legend in the game next week.
