After weeks of speculation and creeping doubt, Tiger Woods has announced that he will be playing in the 2022 Masters tournament at Augusta National. Approximately 14 months after a car accident threatened not only his career, but also a possible leg amputation, Tiger’s unbelievable story is still being written.

He even said that he thinks he can win!

It’s bee a long speculative week, as Tiger’s legions of fans took notice of his jet heading toward Georgia, sparking massive speculation about his playing status. The intent of the voyage was to scout the course and test out his ability to walk the course and hit effective shots with his caddie Joe LaCava in tow. Seemingly, all went well.

The kick off to Masters Week saw Tiger participating in a practice round with Justin Thomas and Fred Couples. This milestone in the recovery and participation process fueled speculation even further. Now to the delight of many, Tiger will be participating in his 24th Masters, looking for his 6th title and green jacket.

Many were amazed at the unfolding events of the 2019 Masters, when Tiger secured the victory in front of his family and the world after many nagging injuries and age factoring in. As we have seen before, once Tiger makes the decision, it means that he believes that he can win.
