BREAKING: Cameron Smith Withdraws from the BMW Championship

Cameron Smith has withdrawn from this week’s BMW Championship, citing hip discomfort.

Cameron Smith, who enters the week No. 3 in the FedExCup standings, is a WD from the BMW Championship.

So, is this a legit injury or does the discomfort come from the weight of his pockets being lined with upfront LIV cash?

On the surface it does seem like a polite way of saying goodbye to the PGA, especially after his unfortunate post round ruling that docked him 2 shots this weekend. But why now?

Currently at the 10 spot on the FedExCup points list, why not tough it out in Delaware to get into the coveted Top 5 spot heading into East Lake? What do you think?
