A few weeks ago, Mike & Frank visited Chelsea Piers Connecticut in Stamford (merely 1 hour from NYC) to check out their premium ZSTRICT golf simulator facilities. For those of you unfamiliar with ZSTRICT simulators, they are basically indoor golf courses. You see, the ZSTRICT simulators are the only simulators, that I am aware of, that the floor actually pivots—front to back and, simultaneously, side to side— to replicate the lie you would be facing if you were on the golf course.

I mean, just check this out:

Additionally, ZSTRICT hosts, on average, 356 tournaments per day, some of which offer prize money. In fact, if you decide to play in challenge mode, there’s a possibility to win some cold hard cash.

In fact, there’s 2 separate and noteworthy contents being hosted at ZSTRICT over these next few weeks.

First, ZSTRICT is hosting its inaugural Open at Chelsea Piers Connecticut from January 11th to February 12th, with the competition taking place on the infamous Bethpage Black Course.

“We are thrilled to tee it up in 2020 with our first ZSTRICT Open at Chelsea Piers Connecticut,” says Tommy Lim, CEO of GOLFZON America. “Golfers in the New York Metropolitan area will love our world-class simulators and ability to compete against their friends in a fun environment.”

Golfers will be able to compete in one of five flights: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Those without an official ZSTRICT handicap will be placed into the Diamond Flight. A cash purse of $5,000 will be paid out among the flights, and competitors are permitted to play as many times as they like.

Second, ZSTRICT is also hosting its all-day Shoot Out Competition on Saturday, January 18th. The Shoot Out will be a 2 Man Best Ball competition played on Spyglass Hill. Prizes will be $500 for the First Place team, $250 for the Second Place team and Free Simulator Vouchers for Third through Fifth Place.

And here’s the best part of the Open and Shoot Out Competitions: to enter all you need to do is book simulator time for your competition round. That’s it. In other words, you can enter yourself to win some serious cash just by putting in some quality time in the simulator.

Ever since golf became a competitive outlet, nothing brings Eric more joy than a well struck 4 iron. And despite living in NYC, Eric makes it a priority to work on his game and fitness during the week, along with a round or two over the weekend.
