DraftKings to Host Record Breaking Fantasy Golf Contest

Think you’re good at fantasy golf?  Time to put your money where your mouth is—and grab a chance to become a millionaire overnight in the process.

DraftKings, arguably the most well known and largest host of weekly fantasy golf leagues, is rolling out what they’re calling “the biggest fantasy golf contest ever” for this year’s Masters tournament.  The contest is open now and there are a few ways to enter:

1. Go their now to reserve your seat outright with a $20 dollar entry and then wait until the contest goes live in the week leading up to the Masters.  Simply draft your team under the ‘salary-cap’ format and you’re in!  The good news is that there is no limits to the number of entries each player can submit, so feel free to draft multiple teams for extra changes to win.
2. You can enter a $2 Satellite Qualifier Tournament, which goes live very Monday leading up to the week of the Masters.  Even better, right now DraftKings will throw you a bone and give you a free seat at the $2 Satellite Qualifier if you’re making your first deposit.  So first timers, this is a great way to get a free seat at a qualifier that can eventually win you a $1 million payday!  The top 100 places in each satellite qualifier earn a seat at the main event.
3. Like the previous option, you can enter a $5 Satellite Qualifier and play against less people for an even better chance to win.  The  contest field for the $5 satellites are about half the size of the $2 event and they still reward the top 100 finishers with a seat in the big game.  Essentially, you’re paying $3 extra to play 460 people versus 1150.  Now that’s a smart bet.
4. Lastly, they’re also offering a $0.25 Qualifier but the event will undoubtedly have a huge player field and these “cheaper” satellites usually tougher to get into.

Your best bet is either sticking with the free crack at the $2 event if you’re a new member, or stepping it up and increasing your odds of qualifying with the $5 event.  If you’re a fantasy golf baller and want to avoid the qualifiers altogether, simply enter the $20 buy-in event with as many entries as you can afford for a crack at that $1 million top prize.
