First Look at Sub 70’s New Fitting Studio “The Seventy”

Golf Sub 70 has only been in the golf world for a hand full of years, but they are quickly becoming the brand of choice for many recreational players.

From the first day I met the men behind this company, I knew this company would break the mold for what a club company can do.

After a very quick rise in popularity, Sub 70 has just opened its first store. What sets this store apart is it’s not just a place to buy clubs.

They will offer club fittings, apparel, two golf simulators with GC 3 launch monitors, lessons, and best of all, a bar!

The Seventy is an appointment-only location. You can’t just walk in off the street and browse the store, although there will be opportunities for that. When you have your time here, you’re the main focus. Continuing with their tagline “expectations redefined,” you’re made to feel like a tour player coming in for a tune-up.

I had an opportunity to see this first hand on opening night. Jason Hiland, the owner of Sub 70, and his entire team have strived to create a place that’s more than a golf store, and they’ve nailed it.

I was blown away by the laid back feel mixed with golf pictures on every wall.

In addition to standard golf events, the Seventy will occasionally host musicians such as country music artist Kenton Bryant for a golf and music event and professional players like Zack Fisher providing a live Q&A for an intimate crowd.

This place has it all, from simulators to work on your game and test out new equipment to a lounge area complete with a golden tee machine to challenge your buddies. The Seventy is what every golfer wants in a golf store. If you want to plan a visit to this one of a kind location, you can set up an appointment by going to golfsub70.com or by calling the owner directly at +1 (815) 621-3556.

That’s right; this is the owner’s personal cell phone. Little things like this are what sets Sub 70 apart from the other brands in the industry and will continue to carry them to years of success.

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
