FREE FITTINGS? Check Out Club Champion’s Re-Opening Promotion
While many of our favorite restaurants and bars remain closed, golf courses are, fortunately, opening back up. Indeed, as of the week ending May 10, 91% of U.S. golf courses were open for play.
However, many golfers, myself included, were looking at getting fit and adding a new stick in the bag. Regardless if it was a driver, irons, wedges or a putter, the COVID pandemic, unfortunately, put a halt to everything during the months of March and April.
Fortunately, many states have seen considerable progress from social distancing and, as a result, are starting to slowly open things up in an effort to return to normal.

As of May 13th, 38 of Club Champion’s 74 locations are open, including Richmond (VA), Fairfax (VA), Virginia Beach (VA), Omaha (NE), Portland (OR), Greenville (SC), Hilton Head (SC), Atlanta (GA), Buford (GA), Denver (CO), Westminster (CO), Nashville (TN), Austin (TX), Ft. Worth (TX), Lewisville (TX), Dallas (TX), Houston (TX), The Woodlands (TX), San Antonio (TX), Salt Lake City (UT), Birmingham (AL), Oklahoma City (OK), Tampa (FL), Jacksonville (FL), Naples (FL), Orlando (FL), Delray Beach (FL), Scottsdale (AZ), Charlotte (NC), Raleigh (NC), Winston Salem (NC), Providence (RI), Las Vegas (NV), Overland Park (KS), Cincinnati (OH), Cleveland (OH), Columbus (OH) and Milwaukee (WI), with many more openings coming as soon as states allow same.
And to help get new, properly-fit and optimized equipment into golfers’ hands, Club Champion is offering FREE fittings with the purchase of any equipment purchase in excess of $500! In other words, you could be saving anywhere between $80 and $350 dollars depending on whether you go for a wedge or full bag fitting, respectively. Simply contact your local Club Champion to confirm how long the offer is available following the respective location’s opening.
Additionally, Club Champion is still quoting between 10 and 12 business days for Club Champion custom builds (however, a surplus of orders and/or shortage of materials could cause some delays). Meanwhile, stock OEM builds ordered through Club Champion are entirely subject to the OEM’s schedule.

To help ensure Club Champion locations are kept safe and clean, CDC and federal and state local guidelines are constantly being observed and adhered to. Specifically, the following measures are being observed:
Cleaning Protocols
- Regularly cleaning all common areas, bathrooms, etc. multiple times per day
- Cleaning all equipment (clubs, shafts, grips), computers, desks and fitting bays in-between fittings
- Using hand sanitizer/washing hands frequently throughout the day. Sanitizing wipes and gels are also made available in stores
Social Distancing Protocols
- Keeping a minimum six feet of clearance between employee and customer
- Enforcing that employees do NOT shake hands with customers or other employees
- Mandating that employees and customers wash their hands or sanitize immediately prior to every fitting or customer engagement
- Employees have been instructed to leave work immediately if flu-like symptoms arise and immediately notify their management team and executive team
Additionally, any and all state and/or local government additional requirements, such as wearing masks and gloves, are being observed and enforced.
