Genesis Scottish Open Payouts and Purse Breakdown: How Much Did Robert MacIntyre Win?
Robert MacIntyre finally triumphed at the Genesis Scottish Open this year after a miracle shot from Rory McIlroy last year destined him for a runner-up finish. This year, he couldn’t be denied.
The Genesis Scottish Open is a joint PGA Tour and DP World Tour event that serves as an appetizer for the Open Championship the following week. It’s held on a links course at the Renaissance Club and is in the same country at this year’s final major, which will be at Royal Troon.

But since 2017, the Scottish Open has been an event in and of itself. That year, it was designated as a Rolex Series event, making it one of the crown jewels of the DP World Tour. The overall purse went from $3.25 million to $7 million that year.
In 2024, the purse sits at $9 million for the second year in a row, and Rory McIlroy took home the winner’s share of $1.575 million in 2023.
