JACKED UP: Kanagaroo Attacks Australian Golfer

Have you ever seen a kangaroo beat up a golfer? 

Australia is home to 9 of the world’s 10 deadliest snakes along with a bunch of other venomous creatures. But on the golf course, it’s actually a kangaroo that could be the biggest threat.

Don’t think a kangaroo can cause any damage? That tell’s me that you haven’t seen the movie Kangaroo Jack and you’re yet to see this video of a man fending off a wild Roo on a golf course this week. Apparently, Australian golfers are warned about wild kangaroos often and there are a lot more in the country than you think. And as this man quickly learned, you definitely shouldn’t get into any fights with the aggressive animal.

Golfer Attacked By Kangaroo on Fairway in Australia

The YouTube video above has been circulating the internet and states that “A golfer came under attack in Australia today from a fired-up kangaroo in the middle of the fairway in an unprovoked attack. The kangaroo came racing across the fairway and started attacking the golfer immediately in a surprise attack. The quick actions of the second golf cart charging at it forced it to retreat and more serious injuries avoided. The kangaroo skipped off okay and was monitored by ground staff.”

I’m not sure I believe that the kangaroo just charged at the golfer for no reason, but even if it did, it’s definitely a scary situation that the second group of players was able to stop. This also isn’t even the first time a video like this has hit the internet. Last year, there was yet another video of a kangaroo chasing down golfers in their cart as they rushed away from the scene.

This is a prime example that all different regions have different risks when you head to the golf course. So if you plan on traveling anywhere new to tee up this holiday season, make sure you do plenty of research into what dangers could be lurking on the course.
