Here’s your updated scoreboard: Chainsaws 2 – Golfers 0.

You may recall back in 2014 when Greg Norman took on a chainsaw and lost in nearly disastrous fashion.

Basically, the Shark was trying to do this:

Greg Norman on Instagram: “Time to trim the sea grapes today. Never ask someone to do something that you can do yourself. Love to work!”

Greg Norman shared a post on Instagram: “Time to trim the sea grapes today. Never ask someone to do something that you can do yourself. Love to work!”. Follow their account to see 2314 posts.

And ended up like this:

Turns out, the sixty-year-old legendary golfer would have been better off asking someone else to do the job.  After all, the man nearly lost his left hand.

Fast forward to this past weekend and it looks like Jaime Donaldson has been taking chainsaw operating lessons from Greg Norman.

Yes, Jaime, I would say the chainsaw got the better of you on that one.  Just like Norman, it seems his left hand took the brunt of the chainsaw’s wrath.

Donaldson was set to compete (and likely lose to Spieth or McIlroy) this coming week at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.  That clearly won’t be happening since his left pinky finger is currently attached to his hand by a piece of string.  Now the Ryder Cup star will be forced to sit out his next two European Tour starts as he allows himself to heal.

A quick word of advice to PGA TOUR pros across the globe: YOU ARE NOT LUMBERJACKS!

Honestly, at this point I wouldn’t even let you cut your own food.  You clearly cannot be trusted with sharp things.

However, come September this year I have the perfect way to get into Donaldson’s head if he should be selected to this year’s European Ryder Cup team.

Anyone know where I can get an adult-size chainsaw costume?
