John Daly, golf’s everyman, is the gift that keeps on giving.

As the two-time major winner gets ready to defend his PNC Championship title with his son John Daly II (a collegiate golfer at the University of Arkansas), Daly is sure to have his cupholder stocked with his favorite drinks of choice.

You would think that imbibing that much would lead to some killer hangovers, but Daly has some advice on the subject.

When asked how to cure a hangover, Daly’s solution to simply not let the hangover occur.

Daly quipped:

“Drink the same s*** you drank an hour before.”

The PNC Championship takes place this weekend in Orlando, Florida and is a two-day exhibition event that teams up 20 major winners with a family member. The event is in the spotlight after last year’s Sunday duel between the Dalys and Tiger Woods and son Charlie.

The two teams are competing again this year, so anticipation for the event has been high since it features golf’s most popular star, one of its most enduring characters, and their two talented sons.

Daly burst onto the scene by winning the 1991 PGA Championship and took the ’95 Open Championship as well. He emerged again nearly 10 years later by winning the 2004 Buick Invitational (now the Farmers Insurance Open) and had two playoff losses in ’05. He also won a PGA Tour Champions event in 2017.
