The winds were whipping at full force on Saturday at THE PLAYERS, needless to say some players were not too happy that they played in the winds and Jon Rahm was one of them.

The World No. 1 believes that if it was not THE PLAYERS, which is considered the fifth major by many, they would not have played because the conditions would be deemed unplayable.

Rahm said:

“I was on the good side of the draw, so not as much of a challenge as other people had out there… I’m one of those who believes that if this wasn’t THE PLAYERS Championship, we would not have played yesterday. I don’t know if they should have.”

Balls were dropping into the water left and right. Some players were hitting 5 and 6 irons into the 136 yard par 3 17th hole and were still coming up short. Rory McIlroy hit driver then 3 iron into the 462 yard par 4 18th hole and still came up short of the green.

Although it beat the players up, it definitely was fun to watch.

Should the TOUR have deemed TPC Sawgrass unplayable on Saturday?
