Jonah Hill to Play John Daly in Upcoming Biopic Movie
The movie world has created some great fictional golf heroes in “Happy Gilmore” and “Caddyshack,” and you’ll soon be able to add another larger-than-life figure who personifies the adage: the truth is stranger than fiction.
Film site Above the Line is reporting that a biopic on John Daly is in the pipeline, and reports are that Jonah Hill will star as Daly.

In fact, whether the beard or not is related, Hill appears to be sporting the look of Long John Daly already.
While details aren’t known, the site reported that the film will cover all things Daly, including his success on the course, his excess off of it, and the many scandals, ups, and downs along the way.

Daly, who has a hair more PGA Tour wins (five) than marriages (four), currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions and finished 19th in his most-recent event earlier this month.
Hill is set to star and produce the film, and while director Anthony Maras is tied to the project, a writer is still reportedly being sought to handle the script, so don’t expect this one in theaters anytime soon.
