Despite the PGATOUR’s insistence of the so-called “wrap around” season, we all know this week is the “real” opening of the 2016 season with the Hyundai Tournament of Champions taking place in Maui.

The young 2016 season is already shaping up to be an interesting one with the return of golf to the Summer Olympics in Rio, as well as it being a Ryder Cup year.  Of course, recently the Ryder Cup results have mostly been a foregone conclusion as the European Team has won eight of the last ten.

However, if you want to claim that the Europeans simply want it more than the Americans, Justin Thomas would like to have a word with you.

That’s right, when asked if whether he would want to win his first Major or play on a winning Ryder Cup team in 2016, he responded immediately with, “Winning Ryder Cup team. Hands down.
