Let the 2016 Season Begin! Rory Headlines the Frys.com Open.

The completion of the President’s Cup officially ends the 2014-2015 “wrap-around” PGA TOUR season. So everyone hit your golf reset buttons, clear out the FedExCup points totals, and let’s head to California for the start of the 2015-2016 season.

Rory McIlroy is getting most of the attention this week, but there are quite a few others that will be kicking off the season at the Silverado Resort North Course.

Justin Rose, Brandt Snedeker, Chris Kirk, and Hunter Mahan will be among the other 143 golfers looking to start the new season with a “W” and a 500-point FedEx Cup jump-start.

Sang-Moon Bae, who won the tournament last year, will not be able to defend his title as he has begun his two-year, mandatory military service for his home country of South Korea.
