PGA TOUR Extends Partnership with Sportsbook Operator PointsBet
PGA Tour Headquarters recently announced a three-year content and marketing extension with sportsbook operator PointsBet. The partnership includes providing NBC, Golf Channel, and Peacock viewers live betting odds, as well as a free prediction game launching in January.

After an experiment of airing live PointsBet odds during the broadcast of the Fortinet Championship in mid-September, NBC Sports and the PGA Tour seem to be all-in on entering the sports betting fray.
This seems like a no-brainer from a revenue and exposure standpoint. PGA Tour viewership is bound to grow exponentially if gamblers can have some skin in the game. Gambling revenue may also enable the PGA Tour to experiment with new/different events and higher purses.
Partnering with PointsBet is just the beginning of a huge growth move for the PGA Tour, and one thing that’s blindingly apparent regarding pro sports partnerships with sportsbook companies is that it’s all about the rake…
