Shane Lowry was on top of the world on Sunday, after securing his first win since 2019 at the BMW PGA.

He saw off competition from fellow European Ryder Cup teammates Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, with a tow putt birdie on the final hole to post a win ‘for the good guys’. Lowry has been outspoken on the uproar caused by the LIV Golfers, describing the unsettling feeling at Tour events where LIV golfers are paired up with DP World Tour players and the chasm that has been created between representatives of the tours.

In a refreshingly positive turn, Lowry took home the trophy at the BMW without dropping a single shot in the 54-hole event, shortened to honor the passing of Queen Elizabeth. After his 65, Lowry proceeded to celebrate in style. Lowry and caddy ‘Bo’ took the headlines with their hilarious ‘first to last drink’ video. Lowry tweeted ‘“Team Lowry ☘️” and demonstrated the Irish ability to drink over the course of the evening. By the end, it was fairly incoherent but clear that Lowry had celebrated in style!
